Module content and teaching

Principal aims

This module provides a strategic and global introduction to the main features of the international business environment and intercultural influences. You will be introduced to the strategic features and complex intercultural issues of the global business environments. You will gain an understanding of major trends in international business with a particular focus on globalisation and the factors influencing international investment and trade.

Principal learning outcomes

The module aims at developing your capacity to critically evaluate ideas about the internationalisation processes of business, and an awareness of the intercultural challenges of implementing international business strategies. Intercultural skills relevant to managing these challenges will be introduced and applied to case studies.
