Module content and teaching

Principal aims

The module will cover both international arbitration as a form of dispute resolution and its particular manifestation and ramifications in the foreign investment context.

Timetabled teaching activities

As part of this course, each year four students form a team to compete in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court. All students, however, participate in the preparation for the competition through weekly in-class activities in which arguments relating to the moot problem are developed and presented. In this way students gain practical experience in the application of the material they are learning in lecture.
