Principal learning outcomes

By the end of the module, you will be able to: Demonstrate an advanced understanding of key economic concepts, such as opportunity cost and marginal analysis, and justify the use of these concepts to inform healthcare decision-making Critique international healthcare systems by applying alternative theories of distributive justice underpinning healthcare provision Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the principles behind the measurement and valuation of costs and health outcomes in economic evaluation, and be able to critically evaluate implementation of these principles in real-life economic evaluations Critique the use of modelling in economic evaluation
