Principal aims

This module draws upon expertise across a wide range of subject areas and seeks to explore the complexity of Public Health issues in the UK and internationally.

Principal learning outcomes

Students will be able to: Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and critical understanding of methods in the practice of public health including health protection, health promotion and disease prevention; Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the national and international context and current issues of public health and health care policy; Implement methods of assessing public health interventions; Prepare appropriate public health protocols and policy documents.
