Module content and teaching

Principal aims

The principal aims and objectives of The Global Political Economy of the Household are to: Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the key concepts and theoretical debates in (International) Political Economy with regard to understandings of the household; Analyse, compare and critically evaluate fundamental assumptions and arguments about the role of the household in IPE and IPE-related literature; Construct and substantiate a critical argument; Demonstrate good written communication skills in English; good time management; and an ability to devise viable essay topics; Demonstrate good investigative and information retrieval skills, including familiarity with information technology.
