Module content and teaching
◾To identify and critically evaluate conceptions of social, economic and environmental sustainability. ◾To understand and question the links between creativity, the cultural industries and sustainability. ◾To explore the nature of the creative process during sustainable change projects. ◾To understand the consequences of sustainability initiatives for the arts and cultural industries.
Principal learning outcomes
◾To develop a critical understanding of sustainability theories. ◾Understand and critically reflect upon the role of creativity within sustainability theory. ◾Understand and critically reflect on how the creative process can be influenced and shaped by sustainability projects. ◾Critically evaluate the links between sustainability, creativity, and management of the arts and cultural industries.
