Module content and teaching

Principal aims

This module is designed to enable students to analyse and report on the data collected through module QS204. Together with QS204 this module helps students develop knowledge and experience of the quantitative research cycle from initial design through to reporting.

Principal learning outcomes

By the end of this module, students should be able to: Analyse the validity and reliability of primary data collected through a survey Develop a strategy for dealing with missing observations and variables Explore associations within the data collected Model a multivariate association using Stata Report on the substantive findings from their research

Timetabled teaching activities

3 hours total per week: 1 hour lecture followed by a 2 hour seminar/computer laboratory
