Career Development and Coaching Studies (CDCS) courses require attendance at on-campus workshops on two consecutive days for each blended learning module. Some students will therefore incur the cost of overnight accommodation on or near campus when needed.

Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education (CEIGHE)
Career Education, Information and Guidance in Higher Education (CEIGHE) courses are delivered by the University of Warwick in collaboration with AGCAS. Students are required to pay AGCAS for training linked to specific modules. For course codes PL550, PL576 and PL577 this will include at least two modules. For course code PL557, this will include one module only. The cost varies dependent on a number of factors including the level of AGCAS membership and duration of training. For the Certificate of Higher Education in Early Years Professional Studies, the cost of mandatory text books is £40 in years 1 and 2 respectively. A DBS check costing approximately £50 is required.

For the Certificate in Education and Training, the Diploma in Education & Training (Generic, English, Maths and SEND) and the Diploma in Teaching (English, Maths and SEND), students who undertake placements further than 30 miles away from the University are charged 45p per mile for the extra mileage to cover travel costs of the tutor attending the setting to observe teaching practice (3 observations per year).

For the Foundation Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotheraphy, mandatory text books cost £50 in each year of study, BACP student membership costs £75 in each year of study, and insurance costs £50 in each year of study. Mandatory travel to supervision/therapy costs approximately £50 in year 1 and £75 in years 2 and 3 respectively. Required travel for placements costs approximately £125 in years 2 and 3 respectively. Orientation weekend costs £250 in year 1 and £30 in years 2 and 3 respectively. Supervision and therapy will cost £200 in year 1, £800 in year 2 and £600 in year three. A one off DBS check costing approximately £50 is required. From 2017-18 this course will be replaced with a new BA (Hons) Person-centred Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship. Additional costs for this are DBS (enhanced) £53 BACP; student membership £80; residential weekend approx. £285; professional indemnity insurance £54-£85; placement supervision costs £20 - £50 per month; personal therapy, £35-£55 per hour and mandatory text book £50.

For the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood, recommended core text books cost approximately £80 in each year of study.

Students undertaking part-time degrees take modules from a variety of departments. Costs of text books are estimated to be £60 per year of study.

For part-time degrees, 2+2 Social Studies and Health and Social Policy, Part-time and Full-time BA Social Studies there are mandatory text books across each year of the 2+2 Degree; these are estimated at £100 over the first two years, and £120 a year in years three and four. It is assumed there will be one mandatory text book per module on the part-time degree or full time BA(Hons) Social Studies programme costing £30 each, therefore if a student takes two modules a year the cost will be £60 a year, or £120 a year on the full-time course.

For the BA in Counselling, mandatory textbooks cost £75 in year 1 and £75 in year 2; BACP student membership costs £75 in years 1 and 2, and the orientation weekend costs £40.

For the BA in Early Years Professional Studies (Part-Time), recommended core books cost approximately £40 in each year of study. For the BA in Early Years Professional Studies (Full-Time), recommended core text books cost approximately £80 for the whole course.

For the BA in Social Studies, mandatory text books are likely to cost £120 per year of study. A DBS check costing approximately £50 is required.

For the Post-graduate Diploma in Education & Training (FE and Skills), a DBS check costing approximately £50 is required.

For the MA in Social Work, student will are required to travel to placements (70 days in year 1 and 100 days in year 2). A DBS check costing approximately £50 is required.
