I look after Truetec’s French and Italian clients, speaking to them every day to make surethat I know what they need. This knowledge enables me to choose translators with appropriate experience who are able to meet their deadlines. I manage their translation projects, making sure that they are properly resources and delivered on budget.

I recruit translators from a range of different sources. Quality is critical so I train new staff and brief existing staff in depth on each project.

Student Admissions Assistant (Temporary)

My job was to respond to enquiries from prospective students, including entering contact details on to the Admissions database. Sometimes I had to do research to answer more complicated questions, including contacting other departments. I asked students how they found out the courses they were applying for and produced reports to help with decisions about marketing. I also did general admin.

Literary Festival, Stratford upon Avon

Volunteer

Volunteered to promote and support the festival. Spoke to festival organisers every day to make sure that event was effectively promoted and staffed. Distributed leaflets to tourists. Looked after volunteer expenses.
