Student manual records
When you use our one-to-one consultation services, your details will be retrieved from the Student Record System if you are a current student. This data will then be used in an anonymous form to generate management statistics such as usage by our Service of different student groups, but will also assist us to provide you with a responsive, effective service.
Before you use some of our services we may ask you to furnish us with more details about your education and employment background as well as information which might be regarded as sensitive, such as disability. The supplying of such information is voluntary but may help us to assist you better. Any notes made during your appointment will be made available for you to view online as part of the myAdvantage function.
Psychometric test results
The completed test forms and sign-up sheets may be kept for up to 3 years and then confidentially destroyed. Your test results may be forwarded to the test provider to assist them in building up norm tables but all personal data will be removed before any such submission.
Any correspondence and visit reports which are kept, may be placed in the Employer files if they relate to public matters thought useful to students and others. These are "weeded" at least once every year. Confidential and routine correspondence is centrally filed and "weeded" after 3 years.
The information entered in our vacancies online database by recruiters must be considered to be in the Public Domain.

Who we will release your information to
We may pass on, if requested, your name and a list of events attended to your academic department.
If you sign up for a presentation, your name may, in some circumstances, be released to the employer giving the presentation, but your other details will not. University's students records system
We use the University's central student record system to store and retrieve information that you choose to give us about your destinations. We also collect information supplied by employers and course providers as part of our requirement to provide information to the Higher Education Statistics Agency. The data will be used for quality assurance purposes to provide a statistical analysis reflecting the graduate destination population. The Centre for Student Careers & Skills is responsible for maintaining this data and producing management information reports in anonymised form for both the Service and the University of Warwick. The data we collect is invaluable to the University in promoting courses, helping students to understand their career options and advocating for the value and talents of our graduates.
We also pull data from the Students Record System into the myAdvantage Contact Management System, for use within the Centre for Student Careers & Skills, to enable us to be more responsive to your needs.
