If you are thinking about what career path is right for you, or you are wondering how to secure the job you know you want, the My Summer Opportunity events programme provides the resources and support you need to explore all the opportunities available to you. You will learn how to boost your employability and evidence those skills, turning your experiences in to successful applications. You can access advice on online interviews, virtual assessment centres and find out how to continue your job search after graduation.

Once you know what career path is right for you, My Summer Opportunity will also help you connect with potential employers through events such as the Summer Careers Fair, giving you the chance to network with a wide-range of employers and discover the wealth of opportunities available to you as a Warwick student.

Summer Careers Fair

The Virtual Summer Fair is the final Careers Fair of the academic year, taking place Tuesday 22 June 2021. The fair will allow you to discover employment opportunities including graduate schemes and jobs, placements and internships. Meet with employers in one-to-one meetings or attend their individual presentations happening throughout the day, with recruiters on hand to talk to you about their recruitment processes and available opportunities.

The fair will be hosted via our new Symplicity platform. More information will be available on myAdvantage soon.

Our events will support you in your career planning and in making successful applications. Sessions will include:

  • Advice on making effective applications, impressing at online interviews & virtual assessment centres and disability and recruitment
  • The opportunity for you to experience real recruitment scenarios and practise ahead of virtual assessment centres and video interviews
  • The chance to find out how you can explore multiple ways to boost your employability and evidence these in applications which you make
  • Support aimed at finalists considering how to manage your job search following on from graduation

We are also advertising and highlighting online employer events, workshops and activities that employers are running themselves over the summer term, to ensure you have access to as much information as possible to support you as you explore your career options.
