Warwick Conferences steps up delegate wellbeing with Scarman lounge refurbishment

Scarman Lounge Refurb

Warwick Conferences has made yet another step to enhance delegate welfare and experiences, after refurbishment works in its Scarman lounge area were completed.

Following feedback from delegates, the new lounge has been designed to meet the needs of those attending meeting and events at Scarman. Outdoor spaces have been developed, with new garden furniture in the patios, while more plants have been brought indoors to segregate the different areas.

With a theme of bringing the outdoors in, the lounge has been designed to offer delegates a retreat from their event or meeting while visiting Warwick Conferences. Studies have shown that spending time outside can lead to significant health benefits, including improving blood pressure and boosting mental health. Warwick Conferences hopes that the introduction of indoor plants, as well as enhanced outdoor spaces, will help add to delegate wellbeing and experiences.

The new lounge area has been created to sit alongside Warwick Conferences’ other wellbeing initiatives, such as its breakout rooms and Sport and Wellness Hub, meaning event organisers can be assured that delegates will have the opportunity to relax and take a break before, during, and after events and meetings held at the facilities.

Andrew Taylor, Head of Conference Centres at Warwick Conferences, said

One of the most important roles as an event space is ensuring that your facilities are kept up to date with the needs of delegates and organisers. We understand the strain and pressures that meetings and events can sometimes have on both parties, which is why we have refreshed this space for visitors to take some time out and relax.”

In addition to the new outdoor spaces, the Scarman lounge also includes work areas, with desks and booths designed to allow delegates to catch up on work, should it be required.

The refreshed lounge area is the latest stage of Warwick Conferences’ refurbishment works at Scarman, following the introduction of its creative spaces which have allowed organisations to develop experiential meetings and events. In the last three years, Warwick Conferences has already developed innovative rooms, such as its kitchen areas, living spaces and studio, while also providing breakout rooms that offer games consoles and table tennis.
