The Researcher Development programme has been supporting you to deliver PGR led conferences, seminars and events. When society moved online it became more difficult to go ahead with original plans for 2020; so with this in mind we are going to change our direction of support for 2020-2021.
Whilst we are uncertain whether we can run events Face to Face; and realistically we are all getting more opportunities to vist conferences that we would otherwise not be able to afford if we had to attend in person; we are going to support you to create online events.
This will include training for putting on online events; practice for networking in online environments and practice for delivering presentations online too.
I have a small pot of money which if you have some small expenses (up to £50) then I can help out. There will be no need to apply using the conference application form- you can just email me.
The money usually allocated here will be allocated towards the Research Harambee for 2021.

What researchers say
We gained excellent knowledge of how to collaboratively manage a long-term project and the time management skills this entails.
We found the experience of organising this event very rewarding. It helped increase our awareness of less familiar aspects of academic events, including the difficulties one may encounter when setting up a conference programme.
I have now set up a website and there is an intention of to hold a similar workshop annually to bring together scholars at Warwick working on this these [Drinking Studies Network].
