News on funding, conferences, social events, and opportunities for Warwick postgraduate students
The Global Disability Innovation Hub and Snowdon Trust have now opened applications to their scholarships for MSc courses beginning in Autumn 2020. Funding is available to exceptional disabled students to join any UK based Masters programme and is focused on supporting disabled students into postgraduate education. Applications can be for any UK University or Masters course and are open for both national and international students. Successful candidates will join a unique network of high achieving disabled leaders working together to inspire future generations.
Funding of a maximum of £30,000 per successful students with up to £15,000 towards MSc course fees and a £15,000 allowance while studying.

Celebration of Warwick's International Scholars - 2019/2020
A welcome reception was held earlier this month to recognise the achievement of our international sponsored students in securing highly prestigious and competitive scholarships to study at Warwick starting in 2019. Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships - 2020-21. Female citizens of a developing country/emerging economy, for PhD degree or post-doctoral research in STEM.
The scholarship focusses on women from developing countries who want to build a future in academia. Applicants should be a female citizen of a developing country or emerging economy and be preparing for a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The COSARAF Charitable Foundation invites applications for The Sheikh Family Scholarship which is solely open only to Muslim home students applying to the MA in Islamic Education programme at the Centre for Education Studies who are facing financial hardship.
The Award is £10,000 contribution towards tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of study, payable in instalments. Successful candidates will be required to show a clear commitment to giving back to society and their communities.
The deadline for applications is Monday 1st July 2019.

BFWG Awards for Doctoral Students 2019
Applications for British Federation of Women Graduates scholarships are now being sought. The awards are made to women doctoral students who will be in their third year (or part time equivalent) of work for a research PhD/DPhil in the autumn of 2019.
Awards are, in effect, one off prizes varying in value from £,1000 to £6,000 and are given for overall outstanding academic excellence.
The closing date for applications is Friday 22 February 2019.

Scholarships for Canadian Postgraduates Studying in the UK
The Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund (CCSF) are pleased to announce awards of between £2,000 - £5,000 to Canadian nationals currently enrolled full-time on a multi-year postgraduate programme attending a UK University. The awards are across multiple disciplines including science, engineering, social science, humanities, music, creative art, design, and more.
The competition opens on 16th January 2019 and closes at midnight on 10th March 2019.

University's bid for ESRC DTC accreditation successful
The University has been awarded one of only 21 national Doctoral Training Centres by the Economic and Social Research Council. The Doctoral Training Centre covers 13 different pathways in the Social Sciences and includes 27 postgraduate studentships per annum for the next five years.
