How long do I have to appeal?
Students have 10 university working days from the date of their conferral letter or notification from the Board of Examiners. Completed forms and supporting documents and evidence should be emailed to pgappeals at warwick dot ac dot uk.
If students are out of time they can still submit their appeal but must send a covering letter or email outlining the reasons their appeal is late. The Preliminary Review Panel will review the appeal and decide if it can be accepted, firstly considering whether they will accept it out of time.

What is happening to my appeal?

Please email the pgappeals at warwick dot ac dot uk">pgappeals account with your query.

Appeals - may not be used for:

· Challenge the academic judgement of examiners;

· Dispute marks awarded in individual modules or pieces of work;

· Appeal against the requirement that a student is required to resubmit work or resit examinations;

· Challenge the decision to award a Master’s degree at pass level rather than with distinction or merit.

I have received an email regarding an allegation of cheating, what should I do?

If you are unable to speak directly with the Doctoral College then please email the pgappeals at warwick dot ac dot ukaccount with their query.

Where should I get my thesis bound?

Warwick Print can bind and deliver to the Doctoral College l but there are alternative companies you can choose to use. Where you have your thesis bound is up to you.

How do I submit my thesis?

Two soft bound copies & two CDs should be submitted to the Main Helpdesk at the Library, along with a thesis submission declaration checklist.

Warwick Print can deliver directly to Doctoral College or you can send by mail to the Doctoral College.

Have you received my thesis?

If you have submitted your thesis to the library or via Warwick Print then you will receive a confirmation of receipt email within three working days of submission.

I can’t access the library or IT services.

As soon as we have processed your thesis your expected end date will be extended by 6 months and your access will be reinstated.

What is the status of my thesis? (sent to examiners/received reports)?

When is my viva?

The Doctoral College are not involved in the viva process. Please contact your department.

What happens after I submit my hard bound thesis?

As soon as all paperwork is completed and we have a final bound thesis with a CD, your name will be placed on a pass list for Steering to approve your award. You will be notified by email within 5 working days of Steering approval that your award is conferred.

What is the deadline to be eligible to attend the Summer Degree Congregation in Summer 2019?

Thesis examination must be completed and hard bound thesis and CD submitted by Friday 14 June 2019.

What is the current fee for external examiner for PhD?

The current fee for an internal examiner for PhD = £184.00

What is the current fee for an internal examiner for a PhD?

The current fee for an internal examiner for PhD = £125.00

What could hold up payment of fees?

Fees can be held up due to a number of items but normally it is because of non receipt of reports, unsigned forms, and original receipts missing.

What is the current mileage rate?

The current mileage rate is £0.45 per mile.

How do you send out theses to examiners?

Internal examiners receive theses via university internal post and external examiners receive via DHL.
