Potential Advantage - Exploring links between personality and wellbeing in PGRs

Who can participate?
  • Participants are PhD students at Warwick, from any faculty and year.
 What does taking part involve?
  • Complete (anonymous) online personality, mental health and wellbeing tests (taking 15-20 minutes).
  • Receive feedback on test scores (it's always interesting to learn a little more about yourself).
  • Optional - select to join one of a range of weekly wellbeing activities on offer (you choose the activity).
  • Activities include yoga, art and music classes, walking, running, and a visit with the support dogs among others.
  • Attend the activity in Term 2. Do the same activity each week, so we can track the impact on wellbeing.
  • At the end of the term, complete the online tests again, so we can measure changes over time.
What are the potential benefits to taking part?
  • Have some fun! We aim to make it an enjoyable, as well as an informative experience.
  • It’s a great chance to meet other PGRs, students at Warwick and build a sense of community.
  • Gain insights into your personality, mental health and wellbeing and changes to these over time.
  • Entry into a prize draw! Win one of our fabulous prizes including a £25 Eating at Warwick voucher, cinema tickets, or a University of Warwick hoodie (prize draw details).
  • Contribute to knowledge around the PGR experience to inform the development of evidence-based support.
  • Participation counts towards the Professional Development Framework (recorded via SkillsForge).

Potential Advantage launched in October 2018. Here are some images we captured from our launch event - PGRs were invited to meet the research team and activity leads:
