Recruiting Student Engagement Officers (ad-hoc) x 4

The Community Values Education Programme (CVEP) is looking to recruit four students to act as Student Engagement Officers to support the team to run outreach and engagement events with students at Warwick.

About the role

The CVEP team works with staff and students to create and deliver resources promoting the importance of a strong values-driven community at Warwick. Alongside our focus on promoting the Active Bystander approach at Warwick, we work with academic departments and key groups to respond to needs around values education and develop relevant resources to support learning. The recently launched Say My Name project explores respectful interactions around names and the Bystanders can save lives resource raises awareness of the important role of bystanders in cases of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

We will be running a variety of student engagement events and activities over the next academic year to engage undergraduate students in our work. Students have the opportunity to get involved with this meaningful project that has the potential to shape the community experience at Warwick for the better. Led by the project team, co-facilitators will help run workshop activities and support undergraduate students as needed.

PGRs and PGTs might find this role suits their experience/schedules, but undergraduates with relevant interest and experience are also welcome to apply. Must be a current Warwick student.

This is an ad-hoc position and successful candidates will receive an initial training and then additional training/support before any planned activities. We will liaise with successful candidates to discuss availability for activities. The type of activities could be a workshop, an outreach event, an awareness-raising activity, support for a conference presentation/workshop, etc. Events may be in person or online therefore successful candidates need to be able to attend campus.
