Grace Research Fund
Welcome to the first Grace Research Fund newsletter of 2014
Charlotte MaytumMy name is Charlotte Maytum, and I recently joined the University of Warwick to support the Grace Research Fund. I will be offering support to the Committee, promoting the fund and helping volunteers to organise events.

I am really keen to hear what you think about the Grace Research Fund, so please do drop me a line after you’ve read this newsletter or fill in the update form to let me know more.

I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you soon!

Best wishes,

Update your subscriptions

The Grace Research Fund is going to be getting more and more active, and we depend on your support and involvement for this. We have already seen so many lives changed for the better by the work here, and want to keep in touch with you to let you know how your support has made a difference.

Please could you take a few moments to tell us if you are happy to receive these emails, and to update your details?

We would also like to ask for your support in another special way. We want to emphasise the value of this research that is enabled by the support of people like you.
Why do you support the Grace Research Fund? Your story can be anonymous if you prefer, but the more testimonials we can gather, the more we can tell why the Fund is so important. We’ll be featuring some of the replies in the next newsletter too.

Raise money for Grace and meet fellow supporters at our latest fundraising events

Events Programme 2014

Active runner or want to get fit?
Join Team Grace for the Two Castles 10km run in June!

Over 20 runners have signed up to raise money for #TeamGrace this year, of all ages and abilities – we would love to see you and your friends join us for this fun day too. We offer running t-shirts, refreshments, training and more. Please just reply to this email address ( with your name, phone number and preferred email address by Thursday 27 February.

Coventry Half-Marathon

A few keen runners have signed up already for the Half-Marathon on Sunday 23 March, to raise more money for Grace. If you’re planning to take part but don’t have a nominated charity yet, why not choose to run for neonatal research with us? We will provide runners with a Grace t-shirt on the day, and lots of cheers!

Love football?

Come and shake a tin at the Coventry City home game against Wolverhampton on Saturday 26 April. We will be collecting for Grace from fans, and every collector is welcome to stay and watch the game for free. There will also be a Grace interview on the pitch at half time.

Trolley dash

If you live locally, you might have already heard of The Big Push, which takes place on Sunday 11 May. It’s a fun, fancy-dress team trolley-dash from Walsgrave Hospital to the University of Warwick, and includes a street collection through central Coventry. If you fancy entering a team of colleagues or friends, please get in touch!

Save the date - Graduate Party

On 9 August 2014 we will be welcoming back the young ‘graduates’ of the neonatal unit and their families. Come along to meet fellow parents and families who have been touched by the work of the unit and the Fund – more info to follow.

Over to you - Grace Event Month

August 2014 will be Grace Event Month - organise an event in your home, school or office to raise funds for Grace! We can provide some refreshments, prizes, and a Grace Research Fundraising Pack to start you off. We will be telling you more about this in the next newsletter, but now is a great time to start thinking about what you will do for this special cause.
Remember, every penny raised goes to the Grace Research Fund – absolutely nothing is taken away for administration – and as well as raising money for a good cause, events are a great way to meet up and talk with fellow supporters.
