National Day for Staff Networks is an annual event aimed at encouraging Network members to celebrate the power of Staff Networks together as a community.

This year, we will be marking the day with a lunch and Kindness Rocks decorating session. The Kindness Rocks Project aims to cultivate connections within communities and lift others up through simple acts of kindness. Join us to discuss how we can celebrate, inspire, and transform our Staff Networks whilst painting rocks with messages of kindness. You can then take the rocks back to your department and display them on your desk or share them with colleagues and help spread a message of kindness across campus.

If you,

  • Are a member of one of our Staff Networks;
  • Aren’t currently a member but wish to find out more;
  • Want to spread some kindness on campus; or
  • Want to spend some time networking with colleagues.

Come along on Wednesday 8 May, 12.30 - 1.30pm, at R0.04 Ramphal (lunch will be provided). Please register your attendance by completing the form below.

More about the National Day for Staff Networks

Staff Networks offer support to employees from different groups as they endeavour to navigate the processes, systems and culture that may prevent them from progressing and/or being their authentic self in the workplace. They are an effective mechanism of workforce engagement that can provide insight into unseen barriers and devise practical, creative, and commercially viable solutions to help address the systemic challenges faced by certain groups. Put simply, effective Staff Networks are making work better.

National Day for Staff Networks is a fantastic opportunity for staff networks (employee resource groups) and their organisations across different sectors in the UK workplace to participate in the nation's (and indeed the world's) only day recognising the added value of Staff Networks.
