Stonewall 2020 Workplace Equality Index - Survey

Stonewall is Britain’s leading best-practice employers’ forum for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT+) equality. Stonewall work with over 750 members across the public, private and third sectors to help those employers create inclusive and accepting environments for almost a quarter of the UK workforce.

Warwick is a Stonewall Diversity Champion and has submitted to the UK Workplace Equality Index for the last few years.

We have risen 181 places in the last two years and aspire to be in the top 100, which would demonstrate our commitment to the LGBT+ community and showcase Warwick as an inclusive place to work and study.

In the 2017 and 2018 submissions, we had a 61 place increase which brings us to 162 out of the 445 organisations who made a submission.

You do not have to identify as LGBT+ to complete the questionnaire and therefore we encourage all staff to please take the time to complete it.

This survey is totally confidential, all responses are only seen by a small team at Stonewall with a high level report being shared with the ED&I team at a benchmarking meeting after the Index results are made public.

Request a pronoun badge

Pronouns are the words we use in place of a noun. For example instead of ‘man’, we use he/him/his, for ‘woman’, she/her/hers. Gender neutral or gender inclusive pronouns (e.g. they/them/theirs) refer to pronouns that do not associate the individual with a gender of either male or female.

Share your pronouns by requesting a pronoun badge.
