What do we do?

  • Provide excellent customer service and promote more active and sustainable travel options for getting to and from campus
  • Enforcing parking regulations ensuring our campus is operating as efficiently as possible and reducing non-compliance
  • Develop ideas around improving transport infrastructure – new cycle infrastructure at key locations, additional hire operated mobility scheme locations based on user demand and trends
  • Liaise with/coordinate events with departments and external partners - contractors who need to carry out ground works, facilitating the use of facilities for transport needs, sporting events, graduation, etc.
  • Working with partner organisations on transforming campus into an innovative testbed for new and emerging mobility concepts including autonomous vehicles
  • Inspect the roads and paths in and around campus
  • Support large events being held on campus
  • Key stakeholders in developing and executing the Transport and Mobility masterplan and supporting modal shift objectives

Vacancy Details

We're looking for Transport Operations Officers to provide and support a safe and efficient operating environment for pedestrians and vehicles on all University campuses.

Salary £20,134

The role operates on a 5 over 7 rota basis to cover University events and involves weekend working on a pattern, this will be discussed in more detail at interview.
