Welcome to the University of Warwick Estates confined space hazard assessments page.
These Hazard Assessments are provided as a record of known hazards within confined spaces within our campus buildings and the external areas across campus. Site specific risk assessments for access to these spaces and the work to be undertaken are the responsibility of those undertaking the work. These hazard assessments are not risk assessments; they are intended to provide a helpful guide to identify known hazards associated with accessing these spaces.
The lists of hazards are not exhaustive and are not a substitute for anyone undertaking their own risk assessment. Contractors are expected to comply with current Health and Safety Legislation and to have met all other requirements of the University in working on Campus (read and signed the Code of Conduct for Contractors, watched the University Code of Conduct video, received a local induction etc.) under separate cover.
This is a ‘work in progress’ and as such we would welcome your feedback on the contents of the reports and any updates you may be able to provide to keep the reports current.
