Thinking about leaving your bike on campus during the summer vacation? Make sure you apply to move it to the store at Heronbank, as any bikes left on campus will be tagged as part of the University bike recycle scheme.
Please use the link below to apply to move your bike to the store at Heronbank. Please note: you need to apply even if you are already using the Heronbank bike store.
We will then be in contact with you to arrange entry to the access controlled store. We have limited spaces and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
If you do not intend to move your bike to the store or are unable to reserve a place, you must take your bike with you when you leave for the summer vacation.
During the first weeks of the summer vacation Estates and Campus Security will be tagging bikes in all racks and stores across the campus as part of the abandoned bike removal process. If you find a tag on your bike during this time please remove it and attach it to the hoop. Any bike that still has the tag on 2 weeks later will be removed and placed in storage for 3 months. If your bike is removed you will be able to claim it back by filling out the missing bike form on the cycling page of the Warwick website. You will also be able to claim a new lock from the security gatehouse.
Any bikes not claimed within the 3 months will be recycled as part of the University bike recycle scheme.
The University of Warwick does not accept liability for damage or theft of any property left in the cycle racks or stores and all property is left at the owner’s risk.
The University of Warwick also does not accept any liability for damage to bikes and locks during the bike removal process.
