The Market Research and Insight function is a relatively new addition to the External Affairs team and aims to develop the University's knowledge of its external environment in order to support decision making.

Key responsibilities of the Market Research and Insight team

  • Developing, co-ordinating and undertaking market research and analysis to inform the University’s understanding of market demand and competition
  • Generating insight into its customers and stakeholders to support decision making

Tasks the team can help with/advise on

  • Providing advice and guidance on market research projects
  • Developing market research objectives
  • Devising the right methodology for market research
  • Survey design (the team also offers a ‘survey checker’ service)
  • Running focus group training
