Nominations were invited for two members of the Assembly to serve as representatives of the Assembly on the Senate for a three year period from 1 August 2011 to 31 July 2014. The vacancies are occasioned by the expiry of the terms of appointments for Professor H Beale and Dr A Greene. The Assembly is constituted, in accordance with Statute 20, of academic, research and administrative staff of the University.
As stated in the call for nominations previously published and emailed to all members of the Assembly, the maximum number of members of the Assembly appointed to the Senate of professorial status permitted under the terms of Statute 15(1) is two. As one of the continuing representatives of the Assembly on the Senate is of professorial status, only one of the two new appointees can be a Professor of the University.
In line with University Regulation 2.3, a ballot is being held for the two vacancies on the Senate from the Assembly for the period 1 August 2011 to 31 July 2014. Nine nominations have been received. The ballot, which can be downloaded below, lists the names of all of the candidates, together with the names of their proposers and seconders. The current membership of the Senate is available at: www.warwick.ac.uk/go/governance/atoz/senate/
Katharine Gray, Acting Head of Governance Support Services in the Deputy Registrar’s Office, will be acting on behalf of the Registrar as returning officer.
