The Warwick Ventures Software Incubator is aimed at helping budding entrepreneurs that have an existing or former connection with the University of Warwick. Applications are welcome from existing students, alumni, and researchers or staff who are currently working at the University. Maybe you are reaching the end of your course or are close to finishing your PhD or post-doc position and you are seeking the opportunity to develop your software idea into commercial reality. If so, then the Incubator could be for you.
Based in the Avon Building on the Westwood Campus, the incubator will offer students, graduates and members of staff with software ideas, access to incubator space, as well as to valuable mentoring and business advice, as they move from an idea, to creating software, and later forming a company.
Business Development Managers at Warwick Ventures and other experienced mentors will help through all these stages, finding the right contacts, negotiating early licencing deals, providing training sessions with experts on how to run a company, creating plans for the business, through to the mechanics of setting up a business and putting the right legal documents in place, and finding investors when required.
If you are interested and wish to know more, please download and read the Incubator Guide or email b dot spillane at warwick dot ac dot uk.
