Office for Mac 2016
Staff currently using Office for Mac 2016 on University Macs may have received notices from Microsoft asking you to upgrade to a later version, as Microsoft is withdrawing support for version 2016 in October 2020. All staff currently using Office for Mac 2016 are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest version of Office for Mac, which you can do via your Office 365 account, following these instructions.
Although this is called 'Office 365', a full desktop version will be installed on your Mac. You do not need to be connected to the internet 100% of the time to use it - just once every 30 days so that the software can validate your licence. By installing Office for Mac (Office 365), you will get the latest version of all Office apps, ensuring access to the latest available functionality, as well as continued access to important security updates.
