Project Streams

There are various ways in which projects become initiated within IT Services. Projects can result from regional engagement initiatives, education strategy, partnerships or innovation. IT Services prefers to maintain a flexible and agile approach, so that emerging requirements can be accommodated when required, for example GDPR. The table below shows a range of larger projects that IT Services is working on. You can see that there are broadly three themes, University led initiatives, SPI initiatives and projects that we deem to be necessary. The latter usually being driven by the services themselves, when we are aware of emerging areas or infrastructure or systems updates that are needed to provide a good service.

Recently launched services:

Customer relationship management (CRM) - The University's new service provides staff with a valuable source of shared and centralised information about the University's external stakeholders.

Collaboration via Office 365 - for virtual meetings, sharepoint team sites, real-time shared document authoring.
