Overview
Module registration is part of the extended functionality of the Student Records system provided via the Academic Registrar's Office. IT Services provides guidance on use and development of the service to the Academic Registrar's Office as well as supporting, hosting and developing the service.
From 2010/11, most students in the University can register for their modules through e:Vision module registration. Staff use the Module Registration Manager (MRM) system to query, amend and approve module registrations.
Both of these systems update the Student Records database directly. The information is used in scheduling exams and providing statistical information for government in the form of HESA returns.
MRM also uses the Membership and Basedata systems to get information about staff and departments.
