Embed content from another web page
Use the Content feed component (in the Components Editor) or page template (in the old visual editor) to embed the content of another web page. When the source page updates, your retrieving page updates automatically.
Note: When a Content feed uses an old visual editor page as its source, only the source page's centre content will be displayed. If the source page was created with the Components Editor, all page content will appear in the feed.

To embed content from another page in the Components Editor, add a content feed component:

Navigate to the page where you want to embed your content.

Select Edit > Edit centre content:

Place the cursor where you want to embed your content.

Select Add content feeds > Content feed from another page:

The Remote content pop-up appears:

To embed content from another SiteBuilder page:

Leave the From a SiteBuilder page checkbox selected.

Enter the last part of the URL (the part after
https://warwick.ac.uk
) in the Source page box. For example, to embed the News and Events page, enter/newsandevents/
.

To embed content from an external web page:

Unselect the From a SiteBuilder page checkbox.

Enter the target page's entire URL (including
http://
orhttps://
) in the Source page box.

If Rewrite links to point to linked page is selected, any links in the embedded content will be adjusted relative to the host page.

Select Add remote content.
Tip: Content feeds can be moved or placed inside layout blocks like any other component to further customise your page.
Create a content feed page in the old visual editor

Browse to the location where you want to create the retrieving page.

Go to Edit > Create a new page.

Expand the Change page template section, then select Change.

Select Content feed from the list of standard templates.

Choose whether to retrieve content From a SiteBuilder page or From another web page (i.e. external to warwick.ac.uk):

Enter the Source page URL.

Choose whether or not to rewrite relative links to point to content relative to the source page. When Rewrite links to point to linked page is not selected, links are relative to the retrieving page. If you're not sure which option to choose, select this checkbox.

Enter the URL, page heading, title bar caption and link caption. For a description of these properties, see: create a new blank page.

Enter the keywords and page contact.

When you have finished editing the page properties, select Create new page. You see a confirmation message with a link to view the new page.
Change an existing visual editor page to the content feed template

Browse to the page you want to change.

Go to Edit > Edit page properties:

Expand the Change page template & options section, then select Change:

Select Content feed from the list of standard templates.
