The keywords page property populates the meta keywords tag. Google and most search engines pay no attention to this meta tag as it can be populated with irrelevant information to 'spam' search results.
However, it's a good idea to include keywords for your SiteBuilder pages because Warwick Search does use the keywords property as a ranking factor. Also, the tags filter page template relies on keywords.
To add or edit the keywords property:
- Browse to the page you wish to edit.
- Go to Edit > Edit page properties.
In the Change page properties section, enter keywords in the Keywords box, separated by commas. They can be a single word or phrase – for example:
projector, screen, av, audio visual, book room, venue, hire, humanities building
- Click the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.
The keywords are now added to your page's meta keywords tag – for example:
<meta name="keywords" content="projector, screen, av, audio visual, book room, venue, hire, humanities building">
