Course Overview Accessing the module

This module is designed to assist all staff in carrying out their roles within the University and understanding the relevant legislation in this field.

Who is it for?
The module is aimed at all staff who are involved in recruitment and selection at the University and is a mandatory requirement particularly for those who have a leadership or management role in recruitment and selection - i.e. Interview Panel Chairs and Panel Members. It is also open to all members of staff.

Session Objectives
By the end of the session you will understand:

  • the key legislation in this area

  • how to approach equality issues in recruitment and selection

We recommend that you revisit this module every three years to refresh your knowledge.

The first time you access it, you are required to register (under “New users register here”) with your University of Warwick email address. Once you have done this, the system will email you with your login details.

Please sign off when you have finished. This enables the University to track completion and plan future additional provision. There is a bookmark facility so that you have the option to return to the same section if required.

This module will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

You do not need to complete all in one go as the session has the facility for you to complete individual sections at a time.

Please note you will automatically have access to the
Diversity in the Workplace module which is a pre-requisite to the Recruitment and Selection module.
