At this Window on Research session you'll learn how to repackage the web to filter information relevant to you and your research.

Who is it for?

All researchers who want to learn to make the most out of web resources.

Content Introduction to:  
  • Using RSS feeds effectively.
  • Database and journal alerts.
  • iGoogle and Google reader.
  • Blogs and Twitter.
  • Bookmarking.
What will I get out of this?

Participants will gain: 

  1. An understanding of RSS feeds and alerting services.
  2. An introduction to a range of tools that can be used to find and filter information.
  3. Learn how to set up services and manage information found on the web.
