Who am I?

Who am I' is a hard question to answer as we are diverse and complex, yet being self-aware is a key starting point. The activities in this section are designed to help you answer this question for yourself.

Type Dynamics Indicator (TDI) - 20-30 mins

A free personality questionnaire. On completion of the questionnaire you will be emailed a personalised profile.

It is valuable to discuss these activities with a friend or family member, as we often forget, or fail to recognise our achievements and personal qualities and may unwittingly sell ourselves short.

Authenticity

When your actions and behaviours reflect your values and your personal qualities, you will come across to others as being authentic. You will be behaving in a way which feels comfortable and natural to you and which others will perceive as genuine.

My Attributes

Go to
My Attributes - the words that best describe me - 30 mins

This tool will help you develop a list of words that you feel accurately describe you. Part of the activity gets you to to ask three or so other people who know you well to describe words that they would use to describe you. This will give you an insight into what other people perceive to be your attributes from your behaviour.

Strengths

Recognising and appreciating your strengths can enable you to explore how to maximise what you both enjoy and are good in order to make your current role more fulfulling. If your strengths are not being recognised, or it's not possible to express these within your job, perhaps it's worth exploring alternative opportunities.

Why not try completing a Strengths profile? The Realise 2 Profile is available to Warwick staff at the discounted price of £16.00 + VAT. On completion of the profile you will automatically be sent a computer generated report and the opportunity to complete a Strengths action plan.

By identifying your strengths, the Realise 2 profile can help you to:

  • Identify what you are naturally good at and enjoy- your Realised Strengths
  • Discover the things you are naturally good at but which you don’t currently have the opportunity to use- your Unrealised Strengths
  • Recognise your Learned Behaviours- those things you do well but which don’t actually energise you
  • Uncover your Weaknesses- the things you are less good at doing and which also drain you

As a result of understanding your Strengths you may be in a stronger position to decide how to make the best use of both your Realised and Unrealised Strengths, in order to make your current role more fulfilling. Or perhaps if your Strengths are not being recognised, to find a place where they will be enabling you to flourish and reach your potential.
