Academic Writing Programme: Writing 4* Journal Articles

This workshop identifies the key features of successful journal articles and discusses how to write 4* research. The session will focus on establishing originality, balancing structure with content and identifying your target audience. The workshop will also include opportunities for participants to receive feedback on their current article and develop an action plan for moving their writing forwards.

Who is it for?

The workshop is open to all Research Active Staff at Warwick University

Session Objectives:

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Understood the key qualities of a 4* article and how it differs from a 3* one.
  • Identified how to build on your existing writing practises to achieve 4* research.
  • Received feedback on an abstract for your next article
  • A ‘take-away’ plan of action for your next article

Please bring a copy of a recent article you have submitted or one you are working on.
