Resource Description:

(A collaboration with Library, Student Career & Skills and LDC - RAS)

This session will build on the introduction for Research Active Staff and Postgraduate Researchers in the Research Data Management: The Essentials session and will focus on the development and use of Data Management Plans (DMPs).

Research Data Management (RDM) is vitally important for the success of a research project and is becoming increasingly important with major funding bodies, such as RCUK, the Wellcome Trust and Horizon 2020. This session will build on the discussions in the first session and will focus on Data Management Planning. This will include what a plan needs to contain, a look at some sample DMPs from the Research Councils and a demonstration of the Digital Curation Centre’s DMP Online service.
