This session will build on the introduction for Research Active Staff and Postgraduate Researchers in the Research Data Management: The Essentials session and the follow up session on Data Management Plans (DMPs).
Research Data Management (RDM) is vitally important for the success of a research project and is becoming increasingly important with major funding bodies, such as RCUK, the Wellcome Trust and Horizon 2020. This session will build on the discussions in the first two sessions and will focus on tools that can be used to support research at each stage of the research data lifecycle. This will include tools for data management planning, data collection and analysis and to support the creation of data documentation. The session will also include time to discuss specific questions about the tools or about your research and what tools may be available to help answer your research questions.
