There are a number of funding opportunities that reward innovative and excellent teaching and learning at Warwick.
- Vice-Chancellor’s Education Innovation Fund
Open to individual and departmental applications. Funds smaller, radical, risk taking projects that encourage creativity and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Undergraduate Research Student Scholarships (URSS)
Annual scheme open to academic staff to bid for a bursary to support an undergraduate research project which links learning and research in the most productive way for the learner.
- Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE)
Newly designed, simplified and streamlined, this is a Warwick-based scheme which gives students and colleagues the opportunity to recognise and celebrate excellence in teaching and the support of learning.
- National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS)
This is a national scheme from the Higher Education Academy which recognises and rewards individual excellence in teaching in Higher Education. Successful recipients of the Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE) are eligible for nomination for this award.
- Academic Staff Development Fund
Academic staff may apply to this central fund to attend courses, seminars or workshops with the aim of developing research, teaching or other aspects of academic practice. Such events may include: making effective research grant or fellowship applications, project management, managing a research team.
