This paper considers access to Educational Technology Resources (ETRs) for Enterprise College Wales (ECW), funded through the EU’s Welsh Objective One programme. This distance-learning scheme (with local partner colleges located throughout the Objective One area in Wales) acts as a platform for individuals and communities to develop the tools of entrepreneurship.
The issues surrounding the role of ECW in accessing ETRs for enterprise e-learning are examined, as is the background to enterprise e-learning in the UK, and specifically Wales, including the strategic approach taken by the University of Glamorgan and its partners. The characteristics of e-Learning in relation to ETRs are also outlined, including the nature of the first tranche of E-College learners. Conclusions are drawn and a future research agenda established.
