APP TEL Mentor Information

APP TEL is focused on supporting colleagues to think about how they can use technology to enhance their teaching and student learning. APP TEL includes a variety of shorter courses, the Technology Enhanced Learning Forum, and the Postgraduate Award in Technology Enhanced Learning.

The main mentoring that takes place as part of this pathway is for participants enrolled on the Postgraduate Award in Technology Enhanced Learning, for which there are links to the handbook and website on the right of this page. However colleagues from across the university working on TEL projects may also request mentors.

Mentoring on APP TEL and the PGA in Technology Enhanced learning involves the following:

  • providing expertise and guidance on pedagogy, technology or both (as agreed with the mentee)
  • familiartity of the UKPSF and descriptors (unless providing guidance solely on how to use the available technology)
  • regular meetings with the mentee, the focus of which will be negotiated between the mentor and mentee.

You will also be invited to Mentor working lunches where you will have the opportunity to find out more about the programme, ask questions and share expereinces with colleagues from across the institution.
