Postgraduate Community - Virtual Events

With restrictions on social gatherings in place due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Postgraduate Community Engagement Team is going to be running some of its regular events as online sessions that can be accessed via Microsoft Teams. These sessions can help you stay in touch with the Library and your postgraduate community during the current restrictions.

Each week, we will be running an online version of Write Here Write Now (Tuesday mornings and Friday mornings), PG Tips Online (Tuesday afternoons) and Research Refresh (Thursday mornings).

Write Here Write Now Online

Are you struggling to concentrate and lacking in motivation? Is your writing constantly interrupted by your inbox, social media and trips to the kitchen?

Write Here, Write Now (our session based loosely on the Pomodoro Technique) is back with a modified format, online, to help you focus on your writing. Due to the popularity of this session we are now running the session twice a week - join us on Tuesday mornings and Friday mornings 9:30am-12:30pm to kickstart your working from home!

PG Tips Online

Keep in touch with your postgraduate community and with the Community Engagement Team!

Every Tuesday, 3pm-3:45pm, we'll be online to discuss any issue with you, or just to provide a friendly face to chat to.

Research Refresh Online

Just because we can't hold Research Refresh in the Wolfson Research Exchange at the moment doesn’t mean we can’t still have a chat over coffee and cake!

Join us on Microsoft Teams at the new time of Thursdays 11am-11:45am for a virtual coffee break! We'll be chatting about the best ways to work from home, and how to stay productive and get research and writing done in the current situation - plus it's a great way for you to keep in touch with other REx regulars!
