Responsibilities of the manager

As the apprentice's line manager you will be responsible for supporting them throughout the programme. This activity encompasses:

Carrying out development reviews with the apprentice and the training advisor.

Providing regular feedback to the apprentice in order for them to improve and implement their skills effectively in the workplace.

Releasing the Apprentice to attend regular skills workshops.

Supporting the development of the EPA (End Point Assessment) portfolio.

Supporting the apprentice with the completion of their assignments through practical experiences in work (e.g. an improvement project).

Allocating time as part of the 20% 'off the job' requirement (see below) to complete their work activities.

Participating in progress reviews with the apprentice and the training advisor every 12 weeks.

Provide the training advisor access for the observation of practice.
