Empowering Your Team to Perform

Aim of the event:

This session aims to enable supervisors, managers and leaders to manage the full spectrum of performance and to apply a situational leadership approach with team members. It also aims to support you with empowering others through strategic and robust goal setting, and with mitigating constraining factors that might adversely affect success.

What will I learn?

  • Identify the importance of empowering your team to deliver excellence and results.
  • Explore ways of managing the full range of performance, including underperformance, solid good performance, and exceptional performance.
  • Apply a situational leadership model when managing the performance of team members.
  • Identify how to set goals that are strategic and empowering.
  • Explore ways of reducing constraining factors that may adversely affect performance.

Is it right for me?

You’ll find this useful if you are a people supervisor, manager or leader who would like to manage the performance of your team members, ensuring that they are empowered and able to succeed in their goals.

You may also find it builds on the knowledge, skills and behaviours explored within our Warwick Management Development Programme.

Less useful if...

This session is less likely to be useful if you have a specific performance management issue, in which case you may wish to contact your HR Business Partner.
