We are looking for colleagues who would like to receive coaching to support their performance or development at work. 19 colleagues are training as accredited coaches through our Coaching Professional Development Programme. They all require coachees in order to practise and refine their coaching skills. They will be closely supervised by qualified coaching supervisors, and will be working to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council Global Code of Ethics.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a valuable development opportunity and can support a range of development needs such as:
- Leadership and management development.
- Helping people to reach their potential.
- Working through a challenge.
Coaching is not mentoring or counselling.
What does a coach do?
The coach’s role is to create a safe, non-judgemental space in which the coachee can explore their goals. The coach will supportively challenge the coachee, help them to uncover ideas and solutions, and identify their next steps. All coaching is confidential.
What does the coachee need to do?
The coachee’s role is to bring a topic or challenge to the coaching, a willingness to explore and a commitment to 4 - 6 sessions of coaching.
How much time is involved?
The coaching is typically 6 x 1 hour sessions or 4 x 1.5 hour sessions over approximately 6 months The coaching will begin in November or December.
