Mentoring is a widely used development tool that has proved to have a beneficial impact on performance, confidence and career development. Warwick’s Mentoring Scheme provides staff with the opportunity to receive focused developmental support outside of their normal line management relationship. Our mentors are all University colleagues who mentor alongside their normal role. The Mentoring Scheme is available to all colleagues as both mentor and mentee.
Mentoring for personal or protected characteristics
A cohort of mentors is trained to provide mentoring support for colleagues who may have experienced issues or barriers relating to the personal or protected characteristics, such as caring responsibilities, returning parents, returning to work after a break, disability, LGBTUA+, minoritised racial identity.
Warwick Medical School Academic Mentoring Scheme
WMS runs a mentoring scheme for its academic colleagues - you may still apply for a mentor via the University scheme if that is more appropriate to your requirements.
