Handling Difficult Conversations

This course covers how to engage in more effective conversations which address important issues and seek to create constructive ways forward.

The session will cover practical and effective techniques to structure, plan and carry out difficult conversations with staff.

Session Objectives
By the end of the session you will have:

  • Practised the skills of effective conversations

  • Explored the nature of different kinds of conversations

  • Prepared and planned a difficult conversation

  • Identified how to structure and frame a difficult conversation

Participants need to identify some current issues that they are wrestling with and are willing to explore during the workshop.
