Course Overview Accessing the module

This course is designed to assist all staff in carrying out their roles within the University and understanding the relevant legislation in this field.

Who is it for?
The course should be completed by all staff at Warwick.

This is a mandatory requirement for Interview Panel Chairs and panel members, in advance of completing training on Recruitment and Selection.
Session Objectives
By the end of the course you will:

  • recognise the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace

  • understand the key elements of equality legislation

  • understand relevant policies and processes at Warwick

  • understand how to relate this knowledge to your work at Warwick

We recommend that you revisit this module every 3 years to refresh your knowledge.

This online course has been developed for colleagues at Warwick.

It is available for self-enrolment on Moodle by selecting 'Equality. diversity and inclusion in the HE workplace'.

The course should take approximately 60-75 minutes to complete, but you can exit the course at any point and resume at your convenience.

Please note: the course includes a quiz at the end, which must be completed with a pass mark of 80% for successful completion.

For those required to complete the Recruitment and Selection module , Diversity in the Workplace must be completed first.

This module is a mandatory requirement for all panel members.

Please note:

  • the former external online course on the Learnupon platform is no longer available.
  • a certificate is not issued upon passing this course.
