Introduction to Committee Servicing (Beginner Level)

Who is it for?
Colleagues who are required to service a committee or working group as part of their role and have little to no previous experience.

Session Objectives

Participants will gain an understanding how to service a committee meeting, with reference to general governance principles and the University’s governance structure. The session will also inform participants of the basic principles of taking minutes.

  • Basic principles of taking minutes

Note: If participants already have some experience of committee-servicing and are more interested in developing their minute-taking skills the Making Every Minute Count (Intermediate Level) session may be more appropriate.

Whilst there isn't any pre-work for this workshop, participants are welcome to familiarise themselves with the Institutional Governance webpages.
