Leadership and Management Programmes

Our Leadership and Management offerings

Our Leadership and Management development offer has been refreshed to ensure it is relevant, accessible and that our leaders can build the skills required to deliver the Warwick strategy.

In addition, as part of our inclusive approach to development, our leadership programmes are now available to all areas of the University, including our Academic colleagues, Professional Services, Estates and CCSG. This provides greater opportunities for networking and community building. We’ve also removed many of the grade restrictions to allow greater access.

Staff can now choose from the following options:

Preparing to Manage

This one-day workshop is for any staff member aspiring to be a team leader or supervisor or for those who have started to undertake some line management tasks on a limited, temporary basis.

Leadership Essentials

This five-day programme (spread over the course of a term) is for any people manager who would like to learn the essential skills and knowledge for leading people.

Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship Programme

This 14 - 18 month programme is for any people manager who would like to gain in-depth skills and knowledge for leading people. We’ll have more information on this programme shortly.

Warwick Leadership Programme *page coming soon*

This programme is for leaders in grades 8 and 9 wishing to develop their leadership skills. We’re aiming to commence this programme in January 2021, however this is subject to various factors. More information will follow in due course.

Accessibility

We are currently offering online versions of our programmes and will begin to offer on-campus versions as soon as we are able to. We appreciate that online learning provides benefits for many, yet for others online learning can create accessibility issues, for example staff members with disabilities. Please let us know if you are experiencing any difficulty with accessing these programmes so that we can explore options to assist you.
