Warwick’s new module catalogue launch

Live from 27 April 2020

Thank you for your support and hard work over the last few months as we have worked together to prepare Warwick’s new module catalogue for launch. As a small number of departments are still completing their module data for 2020/21, we are asking teams to choose when to notify their students and we have provided the relevant departmental contacts with suggested wording to use when communicating with students.

What’s new

Unlike the previous catalogue, we are now drawing directly from data approved via the Module Approval system. The module catalogue will automatically update as modules are revised from year-to-year, thereby saving time for staff previously tasked with duplicate entry and reducing the risk of divergent information appearing in different places. As we move into future years, the module catalogue will also provide a definitive archive of records from previous years.

Warwick students will be able to access all University modules in one place, and view the same set of information for each module.

What’s next

We will update you when we have confirmed the schedule for the module selection functionality, where students will be able to select and register for the optional modules they would like to take as part of their course. We are also re-planning the work to digitise and publish course records in a similar way, which is currently on hold as resources are redirected towards the Covid-19 situation.
